I am currently trying my damnedest to avoid buying Mass Effect: Andromeda for my Xbox One. It’s so expensive to buy games close to their release and we’re trying to buy a new house and send a kid to private school in the next few months. I’m trying to be responsible in my frivolous pursuits.
In an attempt to quell my thirst for a new game, I started another play-through of Borderlands 2 from The Handsome Collection. Sure, this is second time I’ve purchased Borderlands 2 and the DLC, but it was on sale and it is so gorgeous!
What are we talking about? Oh yeah. I’ve played Borderlands 2 for thousands of hours, easily. I’m always either Gaige or Maya and I quite enjoy changing up my builds and my character clothing and heads.
It seems that I always find something new with every session of gaming or I finally reach areas I thought were impossible to get to. Plus, there is not much that makes me giggle like I do when I use a sniper rifle to splurp a bandit head, kids. It gets me every time.
Other games I just can’t quit include Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight and all three Bioshock entries. Before the current generation of consoles, I played Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem or Resident Evil 4 on a few consoles.
So how about you? What games never seem to lose their shine for you?
