Zoe Saldana is most well known for playing characters who are blue or green and/or from space. But lately she’s been building up a solid reputation as a no-f*cks giver. She’s said a lot of heated things recently about her exes (which include the Emu), the lack of roles for women in film, and the horribleness of the paparazzi.
Now she’s on the cover of Women’s Health’s naked issue (which was shot pre-pregnancy-she-doesn’t-want-us-talking-about). And she had some pretty awesome things to say about how she sees her body.
Lately, she says, “My body is less toned. I do look in the mirror and see things I don’t want,” but adds “My first reaction is I breathe and I think, ‘I’m a woman. I’m 36. My body is changing.’”
I’m exactly where I want to be. I do feel beautiful in a way that even when I was working out a whole lot, I sometimes didn’t. Because there have been times that I was really slender and I didn’t like that I sometimes looked a little too muscular and flat chested — you’ll never be completely happy, so at the end of the day it’s like, fuck it. Just be happy, regardless.
