When Vanity Fair spoke with the cast and creators of Death of Stalin at its New York premiere this week, the recent sexual harassment accusations against co-star Jeffrey Tambor came up. And for what it’s worth, stars Steve Buscemi, Jason Isaacs, and writer-director Armando Iannucci all spoke highly of their experience with the former Transparent star.

They’re also all, you know. Men.

Look, Tambor has vehemently denied the accusations from the very start and claimed that Amazon’s investigation was “deeply flawed.” But if you’re going to defend a man accused of sexual harassment, maybe don’t do what Jason Isaacs did and point out that other people have been accused of worse shit:

Isaacs, who wore a Time’s Up pin to the premiere—the issues raised by the movement are “a conversation that needs to continue to be had,” he said—also noted the magnifying glass today’s #MeToo climate has put on abusers guilty of things worse than what Tambor’s been accused of. “There’s a big, long line around the block of people who are accusing Donald Trump, who is a self-proclaimed sexual predator,” he said. “The stuff that I’ve read about Jeffrey seems very mild.”

Isaacs confirmed, too, that the allegations against his co-star wouldn’t influence whether or not he works with him in the future. “There’s plenty of people I wouldn’t work with again—people who have been exposed to the public and people who haven’t been exposed to the public,” Isaacs said. “But Jeffrey’s not one of them.”

Buscemi, Iannucci, and Isaacs all stop short of saying that they don’t believe the accusations against Tambor — they just say that they enjoyed working with him and respect his performance. Buscemi also echoes Isaac’s sentiment, saying he’d work with Tambor again. The article also includes previous statements of support from Tambor’s Arrested Development co-stars Jason Bateman and David Cross.

You know what the article doesn’t include? Quotes of support from any women.

Look, I love basically every man listed in this article (Isaacs alone is one of the best parts of Twitter). And I don’t want to take away from their experiences — I’m sure they DID have a good time! But mostly I’m starting to get the sense that Jeffrey Tambor is a real swell guy to work with, provided you’re a dude.
