When Privileged Worlds Collide: Lena Dunham Wants 'Girls' to Get Gooped
Well, isn’t this a timely coincidence? Just a couple of days ago, Jodi wondered which celebrity was more insufferable; Gwyneth Paltrow or Lena Dunham? Wonder no more, my friends, for the two are about to become one — or at least, possibly combine forces to determine if their combined nerve-grating, self-centered pomposity will affect Hollywood’s gravitational field.
Apparently Dunham’s producing partner Jennifer Konner is also her personal chef (thrifty?), and made Goopy’s turkey chili; Dunham then posted her “first foodgram, alerting Paltrow along the way:
A clearly delighted Paltrow responded:
“We love her so much,” Konner said. “She’s like the funniest, greatest girl and that cookbook…is like my bible!”
Speaking at PaleyFest, Dunham told a reporter, “Jenny made me that chili and I took it back to the hotel where I was staying. I had room service heat it up for me and then I just couldn’t shut up about the chili!”
Asked if she wanted Goop on Girls (that doesn’t sound right), Dunham replied, “We would love it…We’d be very grateful.”
Konner: “Fingers crossed.”
The upside? Most of you don’t watch Girls. The downside? You’ll never hear the end of it.
