The Son of the Generation's Greatest Actor Is, Uh, an Aspiring Musician/Model

I’m not sure what it is about being the son of a really famous, very well liked and respected actor, but it hasn’t gone well for Tom Hanks’ son, and it’s not going well for the son of Daniel Day-Lewis, either.

Meet Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, otherwise known as Gabe Day.

A couple of years ago, Gabe Day indulged in a rap career. He made a rap music video about being a “stoop kid” with his friends from Sarah Lawrence college. If you don’t want to check the video, here’s a few sample lyrics:

Call me Gabe Day and not Gabe Day-Lewis, because if you’re trying to call me out I’m ‘bout to Gabe Day-Lose It’

‘I know what fame is, judging someone for their dad is just as bad as being racist’

It’s definitely just as bad, Gabe.

His rap career didn’t take off, unfortunately, so GabeDay changed his performer name to Gabriel Kane and pivoted into a more “soulful” sound. His first single, “True,” is about letting go of some of his resentments and hardships. He also has a song called “InkInMyVeins.”
