We’ve all been going gaga over American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, and especially for Sterling K. Brown and Sarah Paulson, who played dedicated prosecutors Chris Darden and Marcia Clark. And by “we” I mean us Overlords and TINA FEY!

At the Tribeca Film Festival, Fey was the headliner of her own Tribeca Talks event. There, the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt creator confessed she was so into The People v. O.J. that she changed her Emmy voting designation from writer to actor to celebrate its stars. “You have to pick which you’re in, and I was always [categorized] as a writer,” Fey explained. “I could have had acting, but I just never did. I did it just so I could vote for Sterling K. Brown and Sarah Paulson.”

Of course, Paulson and Fey share a special bond. Before the American Horror Story actress awed us as Clark, Fey played a parody version of the much maligned prosecutor in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s first season, with Jerry Minor as her Darden. Of course, that onscreen romance was less will-they-won’t-they and more oh-good-lord-get-a-room. Asked how the two performances compare, Fey laughed, “Thank God I did it first!”

All hail, Ms. Paulson.
