The above interview has been making the rounds declaring that Cate Blanchett cut off a “painfully awkward” interview. Daily Mail even went all Daily Mail on it and said she “lost her cool” faced with “eccentric topics.”

OK, what really happened was one of the finest, least boring interviews she’s likely experienced this whole junket and she is a goddamn champ. A champ who knows vodka makes for a better bang than beer (*writes that tip down in journal*).

I would love if Cate Blanchett yelled at someone. I wish Cate Blanchett would yell at me personally. But this interview is not that. This is just a badass being a badass. I love her.
