‘Summer House’ Star Lindsay Hubbard Expecting First Child with Mystery Boyfriend

In true former PR professional style, Lindsay Hubbard of Summer House posted a pregnancy announcement yesterday that doubled as a Clearblue ad.

To recap: just a year ago, Hubbard was engaged to her co-star Carl Radke. Their rocky relationship didn’t survive the summer, and they called off their engagement and broke up on camera. At the time, costar Paige DeSorbo comforted Hubbard by saying, “In a year, you could be married with a baby with the love of your life.”

Well, it seems DeSorbo, and the “universe,” according to Hubbard, “had a plan.”

“The journey is really just crazy,” Hubbard told People. “All of a sudden, for a girl who’s always wanted to be a mom, there I was at 37 years old, staring down the barrel of being single and questioning when dreams of having a family would happen. And then this incredible man comes back into my life and next thing you know, I’m pregnant. It’s like the universe was saying, ‘See? This is the time. This is the guy. Now you’re ready.’ I feel like my prayers were answered.”

The “incredible man” in question is someone Hubbard says she dated briefly years ago, before the whole Radke mess, who came back into her life after the breakup. She has yet to reveal his identity, but I suspect he will appear on the next season of Summer House, which started shooting in the Hamptons this week, so we’ll know him soon enough. He is apparently “a doctor who works in biotech investing and prefers to keep out of the public eye,” but that can’t last long with a partner like Hubbard. Radke is reportedly also filming the new season. My guess is she’s visibly pregnant now and can’t hide it from the cameras, so she’s getting ahead of any leaks.

“You know, I’ve almost made terrible mistakes in my past because of a biological clock that we naturally as women have, and this is the one time where it all feels so right,” Hubbard said. Not a huge Hubbs fan over here, but we’ve watched her do and say some terrible things over the years out of desperation for love and family, so I hope for her sake she’s right this time.
