Steven Seagal is a human rabbit hole. By which I mean — there is SO MUCH to say about the man, I don’t even know where to begin. Action star? Reincarnated Buddhist master? “Lawman”? Noted melon fondler? Pants-crapper? Energy drink peddler? Russian citizen, via a presidential decree from Vladimir Putin himself?

Oh wait, I know! How about “alleged rapist”? Because that’s the newest label Seagal can add to his resume. According to The Wrap, Regina Simons has accused the actor of raping her in 1993, when she was an extra on his film On Deadly Ground. She was only 18 years old when Seagal allegedly invited her to a wrap party at his home in Beverly Hills. But when she arrived, Seagal was the only person there.

“He took me into this room and then just closed the door and started kissing me,” she said. “He then took my clothes off and before I knew it he was on top of me, raping me… I wasn’t sexually active yet. People always talk about fight-or-flight. But no one talks about the freeze.”

Simons, a virgin at the time of the encounter, has since been diagnosed with PTSD. Her account has been corroborated by family members, her bishop, and her psychologist. She has filed a report with the LAPD along with another woman, Dutch model Faviola Dadis, who says Seagal groped her during an audition in 2002 (for a Genghis Khan film that was never made). According to a spokesperson for the LAPD, the department is also investigating another case involving Seagal from 2005.

In Dadis’s account, she was invited to a private audition with Seagal at the W Hotel in Beverly Hills and told to wear a bikini — though she was assured there would be a casting director and production assistant also present. When she arrived, she found only Seagal and his security guard present.

Seagal allegedly instructed Dadis to walk around in her bikini, and then told her he wanted to act out a “romantic scene” with her.

“I expressed that I was uncomfortable with that especially since I was in my bikini,” Dadis told TheWrap. “And then he started pinching my nipples and grabbing my crotch area with his other hand. I quickly yelled ‘This audition is over!’”

She said she tried to run out of the room but was blocked by Seagal’s security guard. “I began yelling: ‘I need to leave right now, this is B.S., I need to leave right now!’ He motioned to his security guard to let me go and I ran out.”

These are just the latest accounts of Seagal’s alleged predatory behavior, but in fact there have been numerous complaints against the actor in the past. In November Portia de Rossi revealed her own casting couch horror story involving Seagal:

Julianna Margulies had her own sketchy encounter with Seagal — a late nite audition in his hotel room with no one else present — and though she did leave unscathed, she says he made sure she saw his gun.

Jenny McCarthy claims Seagal asked to see her breasts during a 1995 audition for Under Siege 2 (a part her agent assured her would have no nudity). She told him to go buy her Playboy video, and left in tears.

Actor and correspondent Lisa Guerrero shared her audition story, when she was up for the female lead in his film Fire Down Below. She insisted that the casting director be present for her audition at Seagal’s home (which Seagal attended in a silk robe), but when she refused to return for a “private audition” later that night, she lost the role. Eva LaRue and Rae Dawn Chong have also shared similar audition tales involving Seagal.

There’s also that photo from the promotional tour for Under Siege 2 that’s been circulating, showing Seagal clearly touching the chest of his co-star Katherine Heigl… WHO WAS 16 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME.

And then there’s the accounts of his assistants. Kayden Nguyen famously filed a civil suit against Seagal in 2010, alleging sexual assault and even sex trafficking (though the case was later withdrawn). Blair Robinson, the granddaughter of Ray Charles, took a job with Seagal after meeting him at her grandfather’s funeral (gross). But she claims that the first day on the job, she was told she would be required to give Seagal massages — and then he tried to teach her by demonstrating the proper technique on her. And honestly, this is only scratching the surface of the stories out there about his behavior.

Steven Seagal denied many of these allegations via his lawyer, Marty Singer, when they were first brought to light. It should be noted that Singer no longer represents Seagal.
