Sorry Macaulay Culkin, You Can't Subject People to Your Velvet Underground Pizza Parodies Without Having Beer Thrown in Your Face

Poor Macaulay Culkin. All he wanted to do was perform Lou Reed parodies about pizza. But apparently that dream was too big. Culkin’s band, The Pizza Underground, has been touring England in the Dot to Dot Festival, and while the tour promoters swear previous cities have been REALLY into hits like “Take a Bite of the Wild Slice” and “Cheese Days,” Nottingham wasn’t having any of it. About 15 minutes into their set, just as Culkin was gearing up for his kazoo solo, the audience started booing and throwing beer at the band. At first, Culks tried to laugh it off, saying “Why are you throwing those? I’d rather drink them,” but finally just called it quits.

It’s okay Macaulay. True artists people who sing about pizza are never appreciated in their own time.

For a taste, here’s a clip from The Pizza Underground’s Bristol show. I feel compelled to include a trigger warning for people with ears and brains who are worried about possible emotional offense to those ears and brains. You may want to avoid this video.
