Have you heard of Cameo? It’s a site where you can book your favorite celebrity to give you or a loved one a “shout out,” if your favorite celebrity is Lisa Vanderpump (for $350) or Bobby Berk (for $200), or Fat Joe (for $100), Janky Jibblybits (for $60) or a variety of YouTube “stars,” like Kelsi Davies, who can be hired in the $15 range.

Look: What I’m saying is, you’re probably not going to get your “favorite” star unless your favorite star is Mark McGrath and your favorite band is Sugar Ray, and no offense to McGrath — who used to crush it on VH1’s Rock n’ Roll Jeopardy hosted by Jeff Probst (McGrath is a 3x Champion) — but if your favorite band in 2019 is Sugar Ray, you probably deserve to be broken up by Mark McGrath.

That’s what happened to Brayden. Brayden’s girlfriend (er, ex-girlfriend) Cheyenne paid $100 to Mark McGrath on Cameo to break up with Brayden. It was McGrath’s first cameo, and honestly, he nails it, in what is probably the best advertisement that Cameo is ever going to get.

I just don’t understand why he didn’t end the message with, “Shut the door baby, don’t say a word.” It’s a real lost opportunity, Mark. I do love that we live in a future where we can theoretically hire the lead singer of Gin Blossoms to break the news to some poor unsuspecting soul that he is not the father.

This is only tangentially related, but I had nowhere else to put it: This is the best thing on the Internet today.
