News broke Tuesday afternoon that Christian Richard, the husband of former Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn, was arrested for domestic violence. Los Angeles police responded to a call relating to a domestic dispute, where they found Quinn in distress and her 2-year-old son injured.
“The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim but hit the victim’s child, causing injury,” the public information officer on the scene reported. “The child was seen by paramedics but not transported to the hospital.” But a source close to Quinn reports that the child was later taken to the hospital.
Quinn filed a restraining order against her husband, and Richard was released Wednesday on a $30,000 bond with a court date scheduled for April 10, 2024. After being released, it seems he returned straight to the home they share, however, which violated the restraining order, and therefore prompted a second arrest. He was again released on bond Thursday morning for that charge.
There were also reports of police conducting a “building search” on the home to determine its safety. Sources say Quinn did not make the call requesting a search and that she and her son are now staying at a different “safe location.” The search determined “no issue” at the home.
Quinn became famous on Selling Sunset as an over-the-top, overly stylish villain. Her extravagant wedding to Richard in 2019 was documented on the show, which she then departed in 2022 so she and Richard could open their own real estate company, Real Open, which deals entirely in Bitcoin.
Sources say “Christine Quinn is planning on leaving Christian,” and that “She’s planning on filing for divorce.”
