Rupert Murdoch, who owns the studio that’s distributing Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings, had some opinions about the white washing controversy surrounding the casting of the film (four white non-Jewish actors were cast to play the lead roles, who are Hebrew and Ancient Egyptian leaders). They were not good opinions.

Moses film attacked on Twitter for all white cast. Since when are Egyptians not white? All I know are.

Meanwhile, Rupert Murdoch is currently talking to his people about purchasing Twitter so that he better control the messages coming out of madhouse. He’s also trying to buy all of Egypt and refill it with white people to prove his point.

Of course, it’s not that much worse than Scott’s own justification for not casting non-white actors:

“I can’t mount a film of this budget, where I have to rely on tax rebates in Spain, and say that my lead actor is Mohammad so-and-so from such-and-such,” Scott says. “I’m just not going to get it financed. So the question doesn’t even come up.”

Meanwhile, Mohammad so-and-so from such-and-such is still sitting by his phone.
