Back in 2012, this cheese-faced reality star felt compelled to get involved with a major celebrity breakup. It was weird and dumb. It’s weirder and dumber now because that person is the president.

As you may recall, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were a BIG DEAL. Their Twilight love was an object of obsession for fans everywhere. Then, she was seen CANOODLING in a car with a married director, they broke up, and people freaked out.

One of the people to freak out most publicly was Donald Fucking Trump.

“He was mad at me a couple years ago, really obsessed with me a couple years ago, which is f—ing crazy,” Stewart said at the Variety studio in Park City, Utah, referencing these tweets that attacked her personal relationships. “I can’t even understand it. I literally cannot even understand it. It’s such far-out concept that I don’t want to believe that actually is happening. It’s insane.”

I too literally, LITERALLY, cannot even understand it. It’s surreal and bizarre and it HAPPENED (which will be the subtitle of the book about the Trump presidency in a couple years).

Here are some of his tweets, which are all still up and available.

Then he creepily wished her a happy birthday and tweeted the article with the video of him wishing her a happy birthday. It was weird. And no one feels the weight of weirdness like Stewart.

When asked how Trump’s tweets in 2012 made her feel at the time, Stewart replied, “At that point, he was just, like, a reality star. I had no reference. It wasn’t like really a thing. But in retrospect, somebody reminded me of that and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re right!’”

Stewart (who’s not on Twitter) quipped, “He’s probably, like, going to tweet about this.”

You can watch the whole video at Variety.
