Ageless wonder Paul Rudd is out there promoting the new Ghostbusters movie and recently sat down for a chat with MTV. The interviewer brought up the fact that 54-year-old Paul is “somewhat of a Swiftie,” and asked him if his fandom was “through a proxy, through your kids?” Paul says it’s not just cuz his 13-year-old daughter Darby is a fan, he genuinely likes Taylor Swift: “I think she’s really very good. I think she’s great!”

Condiment-hater Paul says he sang along to a lot of Taylor’s music when he took Darby to the Eras Tour, and his favorite songs are “Mastermind,” “Cruel Summer,” “The Archer,” and “August.” Whoa, as an extreeeemely casual Taylor Swift-listener, I’ve only ever heard of “Cruel Summer.” Paul is a true Swiftie!

It’s not just Taylor; Paul also loves the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Paul’s a big Kansas City Chiefs fan; his family moved to Kansas when he was 10 and he attended the University of Kansas. He also went to the Super Bowl and was photographed hugging Travis after the game:

MTV jokingly asks if Paul feels he contributed to the team’s success, and Paul replies:

“If I did help the win at all, it was because I didn’t mess with, you know, all of the things that I’d set around because I’m superstitious.

And I think the collective superstitions of all fans probably helped contribute to that win. But, ya know, I’m a big fan of that team and I have been my whole life. And, look, Travis Kelce is the greatest guy.”

Paul goes on to explain that Travis has been involved with a Kansas City charity he works with for “years and years,” and “that guy’s awesome”:

“And so when they won, it was pure elation. I mean, it really is truly the greatest feeling. And I was there with my kid [17-year-old son Jack], and he’s feeling the same way. And so to share that with him and then to just get to hug Travis Kelce right after a Super Bowl win… it makes no sense. It’s unreal.”

Here’s the interview. The Swiftie part is around the 11:50 mark, the Travis Kelce stuff is at 9:15:

This isn’t the first time Paul’s talked about his love for Taylor. About a week ago, he went on The Late Show and told Stephen Colbert that he was “knocked out” by the Eras tour:

“I just thought there was so much support and love and positivity. And to feel that kind of feeling with that many people… It was pure love and support. It was incredible. And she did it all.”

Stephen added that, when his daughter was 14, he took her to the Grammys and introduced her to Taylor: “And Taylor was so nice to her that, to this day, I would murder for her if she wanted me to.” Good to know! Here’s the clip:
