I do not care one iota about Jon Peters and Pamela Anderson. I don’t care about them now, and I didn’t care about them when they were actually relevant. Jon Peters was a horrible human being and a bad movie producer who was run out of town after a sexual harassment lawsuit, and Pamela Anderson was an actress/model of marginal talent best known for her relationships with horrible men (Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Julian Assange).

But I am fascinated by their marital drama together.

A month ago yesterday, Jon Peters and Pamela got married. Apparently, they dated 30 years ago or so (Peters is 74 now, and Anderson is 52), and Peters had a lifelong torch for Anderson. So, last month when Anderson — who was apparently having financial problems — texted Jon Peters and asked if he wanted to get married, he dropped everything (including his fiancée) and quickly got hitched to Anderson.

The marriage lasted 12 days. Despite the Malibu wedding, it technically wasn’t even a marriage, because Peters never filed the marriage license. He broke up with Anderson via text, saying that he wasn’t suited to the lifestyle that accompanies being married to an international star (he reported to the papers, however, that Anderson just wanted him for his money, and he allegedly paid off her debt). Anderson apparently texted back a kissy-faced emoji and said, “I forgive you.”

I am not making this up.

Now, one month after their wedding, Peters is engaged … again. The man has had four wives (not counting Anderson), and now he’s engaged to Julie Bernheim, who works under the stage name Julia Faye West (she’s in the photo above). Peters definitely has a type, although Bernheim is just 35.

Now, despite apparently “using Peters for his money,” and despite being “married” only 12 days, Anderson feels “bamboozled” by Peters’ decision to engage again so quickly after their split.

These people have the emotional maturity of 14-year-olds.
