A few months ago, in the context of Roseanne Barr’s tweets, we covered the QAnon Conspiracy Theory. Quick refresher: Basically, it’s an offshoot of #Pizzagate, a conspiracy theory that originated on 4Chan that suggests that the entire Mueller probe is really just a move in the Trump Administration’s game of 4D chess. In fact, Mueller is working for Trump to help root out Clintons, the Obamas, Huma Abedin, John Podesta, John McCain, and basically everyone in Hollywood.

The endgame here is that Trump is going to arrest John Podesta, that there will be riots in the street, the military will have to temporarily take control of the government, and all the bad people (Obamas, Clinton) will be arrested.

And this is so popular online that there is a 30,000 member subreddit; there is an App that was top ten on iTunes that allows people to search for QAnon clues; and there are YouTube videos with hundreds of thousands of views. On top of that, there was an actual March on Washington.

The QAnon folks have apparently taken this to the next level, as discovered by NBC News Reporter Ben Collins. QAnon are GOING AFTER NATIONAL TREASURE TOM HANKS.

Let me just blow that up for you. This is a straight search on YouTube for “Tom Hanks.” These are the first three results:

It’s obvious that these folks are very troubled. They’ve basically taken every anomaly in our culture and tied them into a giant conspiracy theory.

But they’re also very popular. The woman in the second Tom Hanks video, Sarah Ruth Ashcraft, has 45,000 Twitter followers.

OK.

Not everyone is going to believe that Tom Hanks is a pedophile based on YouTube search results, obviously. But SOME will and YouTube is just … letting this happen? They give Alex Jones basically a wrist slap while letting the End Times Prophecy News spread rumors that Tom Hanks is a pedophile.

Hanks is Teflon, though. No one who thinks right will believe this (I hope). But that’s not the case for a company like Cemex, which does not have a familiar sterling, 30-year reputation.

There are thousands of videos like these on YouTube, as well. Take, for instance, this one, which has been seen nearly 40,000 times. It suggests that Will Ferrell and Craig Ferguson’s conversation about Mexican ping-pong was actually code for … I don’t even know.

YouTube is making millions of dollars off of videos like these, but don’t you dare upload a clip of Jim & Pam’s wedding from The Office, because that will get you banned for life.
