Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra finally tied the knot in a quiet ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. The bride wore a demure, traditional white gown (Marchesa of course) and guests feasted on a fancy Croquembouche inspired cake. You would have thought that their wedding would be a little splashier, considering the publicity leading up to it. But no, Priyanka and Nick kept things simple. Don’t believe me? Here are their photos (scroll through).
Oh dear. Upon closer inspection, I seem to have made a small error in reporting. Those photos were from Priyanka’s Tiffany sponsored bridal shower. So sorry! Here’s what the bride actually wore on her big day.
In an expected move, the blushing bride dressed her bridesmaids up in vampy red dresses. Va-va-voom!
Oh, wait a minute. This is really embarrassing, folks. This wasn’t the wedding either. This is Priyanka’s Amsterdam bachelorette party. My bad. This is just a low-key get together with her #bridesquad. A little champagne, some matching pajamas, nothing too over the top or extra for Priyanka. She’s a simple gal with simple tastes, after all.
I can’t believe I’m such a ding dong. I guess I somehow missed noticing Nick and Priyanka’s actual wedding details despite seeing them plastered across every Safeway, Walgreens, gas station, airport, nail salon, and 7-11 the world over on the cover of People Magazine.

People reports that the couple’s nuptials lasted 4 days and were held at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. First, they had a traditional Mehendi ceremony. That was Friday.
That party was followed by the main event, a Christian ceremony where Priyanka managed to be the most extra bride in the history of brides by marching out dragging 75-foot long veil behind her (weighted down by 5 “little people” to keep her from floating off into the ether on wings of tulle). To put that into perspective, that’s three times longer than Princess Diana’s was. It’s no wonder Priyanka wasn’t looking for Meghan to come through. Priyanka was all “ALL EYES ON ME BITCHES!”. That was Saturday.
Here’s Priyanka’s big entrance. The gown is Ralph Lauren, and no, you can’t afford it. Unless you sell People Magazine exclusive rights to the entire week. Then you can afford whatever you want.

And because she seemingly will never, ever tire of the spotlight, Priyanka and Nick (Nick’s just a side note here, as one assumes he will be throughout this union) got married again in a Hindu ceremony. That was Sunday.
And on Tuesday, they got dressed up again for a lavish reception in Delhi.

Just to recap: That’s a bridal shower, a bachelorette weekend, a Mehendi ceremony, a Christian wedding, a Hindu wedding, and a just because, “Nick will do whatever I tell him to do” reception. That’s a helluva lot of sponsored content for what what some experts predict (those experts being those of us participating in the Pajiba Beard Pool) won’t last more than a couple of years. But what people are forgetting is that while there’s no discounting the power of a celebrity wedding to grab headlines and generate buzz, you can only milk it for so long. If Nick and Priyanka want to be in it for the long haul, they’ve got to get on the celebrity baby bump train, followed by the celebrity divorce train, followed by the celebrity custody battle train. Now thems the ends that pay dividends, my friends.
