We loved her as clueless teen in the Amy Heckerling classic Clueless, but as conservative mouthpiece, Stacey Dash is far less fun, much more maddening.
In her continued efforts to proclaim wage inequality is some sort of liberal hoax, she went on The Meredith Vieira Show. (Women just need to work harder to earn the same amount as men in the same job titles. Duh.) Well, Vieira gives zero fucks while schooling Dash on this issue. Happy Friday everyone!
My favorite exchange:
Dash: “I guess I won’t put my fate into anything other than my own action, and taking my destiny in my hands. I will not be a victim.”
Vieira: “Well I agree with that, but I’m not saying I’m a victim. I’m pissed off. I don’t want to be a victim.”
Dash: (trying to make this a teachable moment) “And that’s the thing: If you want to be pissed off about it, then be pissed off about it and work harder for it. But I don’t think us, you know, complaining about it, because there was a law passed that we get paid equal pay.”
Vieira: Except we don’t. (snatching Dash’s teachable moment thunder!) We don’t. We don’t.”
Kristy Puchko is slow clapping, hoping Vieira can hear her.
