When the college cheating scandal broke on Tuesday, I’m not gonna lie, it was a delicious schadenfreude meal for an old gossip hound like me. Celebrities leaving mile-long paper trails, where they step directly on their d*cks, in an effort to give their ungrateful spawn an unnecessary leg up that they don’t even want, because they’re too busy posting to Instagram? Pour that sh*t in my veins.

But like anything involving the rich, somehow minorities were getting screwed, and many people rightly pointed out that the admissions shenanigans were almost definitely stealing slots from POC along the way.

Folks, you have no idea.

Now that your blood’s boiling, let’s hop on over to Meghan McCain who made this face on The View right before talking about the cheating scandal, so you know a glob of privileged mayo is about to come pouring out.

In a nutshell, Meghan was angry that Lori Loughlin’s husband didn’t want his daughters ending up at Arizona State University, home of McCain Institute for International Leadership, so there was Meghan’s opening to make this all about her. But first, Meghan swore a conservative oath to always say, “Well, actually, affirmative action is still the real problem,” even while staring directly into the face of a massive scandal that’s screaming, “No, Megan, it’s the rich, you obtuse bucket of ranch.”

Via The Daily Beast:

McCain zeroed in on some comments made by fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, or “Aunt Becky’s husband,” as she called him. After mentioning that there is a lawsuit against Harvard University for letting in “too many Asian students”—she later corrected herself on that.

Adorable. But the sh*t really hit the fan when Joy Behar brought up legacy admission practices, which have a long history of being racist as hell, and that’s when Meghan continued to pull a Donald Trump Jr. by acting like everyone isn’t acutely aware that her entire life has been one long coasting off her family name slash beer fortune.

“My family goes back generations at the Naval Academy,” McCain said, “and that’s service to your country so I would push back on that part of it because my grandfather, great-grandfather, my brothers all served their country.” She added, “I don’t think there’s anything to be ashamed of with my family’s legacy at the Naval Academy, my father’s buried there.”

“I’m not talking about your family!” Behar shot back. “I’m talking about the policy of where legacy admissions came from. It was to keep non-white people, and Jews probably, out of the colleges.”

McCain just sat there shaking her head as they wrapped up the segment and went to commercial.

You can watch the clip below or punch yourself in the face for seven whole minutes instead. Tom-ay-to, tom-ah-to.
