That is one of the many stories I expect will make it into Dear Mr. You, a memoir Mary Louise Parker is set to pen, specifically about the “significant men in her life.” I’m sure her father will be one of those men, as perhaps so will her son, William Atticus. Maybe a mentor or two will make it into the book, as well. Eventually, however, the “significant men in her life” will have to include one Billy Crudup.
Crudup, as most of you know, pulled the lowest form of shitbaggery back in 2003 and left Parker for Claire Danes. Parker was 7 months pregnant at the time. Classy move, Billy! Parker doesn’t really talk about the incident publicly, except to say that it’s no one’s goddamn business.
However, with the end of Weeds, a recurring role on The Blacklist and otherwise some free time on her hands, Parker is finally ready to make her relationship with Crudup our business.
Meanwhile, we can also expect chapters devoted to Jeffrey Dean Morgan (her on-again-off-again boyfriend/fiance), Adam Duritz (yes, please tell us the appeal) and Timothy Hutton. She may also include her current boyfriend, Charlie Mars, the 25-year-old singer that she allegedly stole from another woman.
Scribner will publish the book next fall.
