In the wake of the death of Freddie Gray, Baltimore is hurting. But last night, the city was offered a moment to reflect and heal courtesy of the wonder that is Prince. He threw a Rally4Peace concert, donating part of the proceeds to local youth-focused charities.
While Prince played a variety of his decades-worth of hits, he also debuted his tribute track “Baltimore,” which contains lyrics like, “Does anybody hear us pray?/ For Michael Brown or Freddie Gray/ Peace is more than the absence of war.”
