Add “is a dignified drunk” to the list of reasons we admire (and envy) Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. Having penned an epic bio-musical about the $10 founding father has made the man a master of Alexander Hamilton history. So who better to tell his tale on Comedy Central’s bonkers yet brilliant Drunk History? And in-keeping with the non-traditional casting that helped make the Broadway show such a hit, Drunk History creator Derek Waters ignored gender biases and chose Aubrey Plaza to play the worst, (Aaron) Burr, and recurring player Alia Shawkat to go full A. Ham.
In case you missed it, below are two clips that tease its glory. In the first, Hamilton is sick and tired of being Washington’s right hand man, and seeks to join the battle to rise up! Plus, Waters reveals how he got Miranda on board and the almost EGOT-winner’s “drink of choice.”
In the second, “Hamilton/oversharer” writes America’s first Penthouse letter with The Reynolds Pamphlet. (“Have you read this!?”)
Then there was a Questlove cameo.
.@Lin_Manuel gets a surprise call from @questlove. As one does. Watch an all-new #DrunkHistory tonight 10:30/9:30c. pic.twitter.com/R49IIyii5p

If you have certain cable subscriptions, you can watch the whole ep here. If not, you’ll have to wait three weeks for Hulu to catch up.
Fun fact, it was shot at Miranda’s parents’ house.
