Christian Siriano And Leslie Jones Are A Sickening Match Made In Heaven

Project Runway alum Christian Siriano has been quietly killing the game for a minute now. He dressed dang near half the red carpet at this year’s Oscars and Golden Globes ceremonies. He even dressed Michelle Obama for her 2018 DNC speech.

But Christian’s most important client is probably SNL’s Leslie Jones. In June of 2016, Christian enthusiastically offered to dress Leslie for her Ghostbusters premiere after she reported that no other designer was willing to do so. You may remember that Leslie was the one who bore the brunt of that anti-lady Ghostbusters dumpster fire and received a lot of hateful, racist shit from internet trolls. Chin up, Leslie #tooktotwitter with her dilemma and less than an hour later, artist and muse had found each other.

Fortune smiled on fans of fashion and badassery that day and Leslie showed up to her premiere looking like a million fucking bucks in a hot-like-fire, red custom Siriano gown.

Wow @csiriano

That moment seemed to help propel Christian’s career into the stratosphere. So it’s not surprising that when Christian was included on the Time 100: The Most Influential People of 2018 list, he invited Leslie to be his date. For that event, Christian dressed Leslie in a gag inducing Grace Jones inspired look.

Here’s Christian discussing his work for Time 100.

Christian makes truly stunning gowns, many of them romantic and ultra-feminine. But he can also get down like “what?” on some shit like this. I hope he and Leslie continue to collaborate on sexy, inspired looks for years to come!
