Kate Winslet Rejects Retouching In L'Oreal Campaign

Kate Winslet is queen of keeping it real. Where does she keep her Oscar? The bathroom. What happens when she has to pee in one of those crazy high-fashion gowns? Wardrobe malfunction bordering on meltdown ending in impromptu tea towel dress. But she’s taking it to the next level with her beauty endorsement deal.

Winslet puts the REAL in L’Oreal. She told Eonline that her contract for the company’s Lancome campaign assures no photoshopping will be employed to tweak her look. (Not like those Julia Roberts ads that got the company is trouble in 2011.) Winslet explained:

“I can only ever speak for myself and I can only ever do things that are important to me and it’s a hope that other people might follow suit but it does feel important to me because I do think we have a responsibility to the younger generation of women. I think they do look to magazines, I think they do look to women who have been successful in their chosen careers and they want people to look up to, and I would always want to be telling the truth about who I am to that generation because they’ve got to have strong leaders. We’re all responsible for raising strong young women, so these are things that are important to me.”
