Jena Malone Is One Headdress Short Of Being Christina Fallin But Released A Song Called 'Indian Giver' Anyway

I’m going to preface this by saying that I like Jena Malone. I have since she was a little person and played a young Ellie in Contact. I liked her in Sucker Punch and I loved her in The Hunger Games.

But, Jena and I may need to have a little sit down because this new starring role of hers is just a complete … clusterf*ck.

I can’t tell what I find more offensive about this music (?) video for new song:

1) The name of the song — “Indian Giver”

2) The singing — To quote Randy Jackson “It was pitchy, Dawg”.

3) The piano rhythm that evokes a Native American drumbeat — If that was intentional, you’re being douchey and if it was an accident, then you’re a clueless douche.

4) The fact that I can barely UNDERSTAND A WORD OF WHAT YOU’RE SAYING so I don’t even know what you’re trying to say.

I mean, really. I’m generally a pretty understanding girl and I’ve had my patience praised in the past, but you test the limits when you do something this completely tone deaf (see what I did there?) and manage to piss off a culture, a race, every capable singer on the planet, and anyone who’s afraid they’re losing their hearing?

Unless you intended to piss people off by looking like a clueless, self entitled snot, I think you may want to reconsider this little piece of “art.”
