During his Car Pool Karaoke, not only does Late Late Show host James Corden get to ride around and sing with the likes of Adele and Stevie Wonder, he also has an absolute blast going through their song history together. In the case of Sir Elton John, Corden takes car costuming to the next level, Crocodile Rocks it on out, and teaches the old rocker a thing or two about the modern world. It’s especially funny to see — in contrast with Adele — how far removed from we regular folk John really is. He’ll buy four copies of a CD (one for each house), and when Corden brings up the idea of digital music, EJ lets on that he doesn’t even have a phone. “There’s always some security person with a phone around…”
Corden turns on his glorious harmonizing skills for a rendition of Tiny Dancer that’ll knock your socks off, the pair hams it up for Circle of Life and well, just watch it.
There they were, all Croc-Rocking it out,
Is it just me, or did Elton realize toward the end of Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me that Corden just might be stealing his thunder?
One thing I am certain about was the flirting. That’s right, there was flirting.
How great are they together?
