In Today's Least Shocking News, Six Women Accuse Brett Ratner of Sexual Harassment
We have hated — hated — Brett Ratner around these parts for well over a decade (here’s a 2008 list citing him as the second worst director in Hollywood; here’s a 2011 list citing him as a director we wouldn’t piss on if he was on fire), and while much of that hatred is because we thought of him as the original Colin Trevorrow — a less than mediocre white guy who fails upwards — Ratner also gives off a super creepy lecherous vibe.
That was confirmed when Olivia Munn wrote in her book about an incident in which a famous unnamed director jerked off in front of her (while holding shrimp in his other hand). Ratner later admitted that was him, and then lied about sleeping with Munn.

Fucker got away with it, too. Until now. Because the industry is finally listening. Today, in what could be considered the least shocking news since finding out that Harvey Weinstein was a abuser/harasser/rapist, six women have accused Ratner of harassment and/or sexual misconduct.
Natasha Hendstridge said that Ratner forced her to perform oral sex on him when she was 19; Olivia Munn retold her story, now that people have decided to start listening; actress Jaime Ray Newman said that he aggressively harassed her on a flight; he cornered actress Katharine Towne in a women’s bathroom and tried to have sex with her; and two extras on the set of Rush Hour 3 said that Ratner aggressively harassed them, as well.
You know there is more. You know there is so much more. You also know that’s why Gal Gadot bailed on handing him an award over the weekend (Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins ended up taking that bullet).
Ratner, through an attorney, denies all the accusations. We believe the women. Ratner can go fuck himself.
Ratner has seven movies that have been announced and/or are in pre-production. I hope they all go up in smoke, especially that Hugh Hefner biopic with accused sexual harasser Jared Leto, because MY GOD, could there be a worse time?
We should also mention in related but also completely un-shocking news, Jeremy Piven has also been accused of sexual harassment, here on the set of Entourage. Piven? On the set of Entourage?
