The Institute of Medicine recently conducted a thorough review of the current medical and scientific evidence on vaccines and certain health events that may be observed after vaccination. It released a report in August 2011 on 8 vaccines given to children and adults that found the vaccines to be generally safe and serious adverse events following these vaccinations to be rare … there is not a causal relationship between certain vaccine types and autism.Centers for Disease Control

Alicia Silverstone — “While there has not been a conclusive study of the negative effects of such a rigorous one-size-fits-all, shoot-‘em-up schedule, there is increasing anecdotal evidence from doctors who have gotten distressed phone calls from parents claiming their child was “never the same” after receiving a vaccine. And I personally have friends whose babies were drastically affected in this way.”

Kristen Cavalleri — “We didn’t vaccinate. I read too many books about autism and there’s studies… Now, one in 88 boys is autistic and that’s a scary statistic … [but] to each their own. I understand both sides of it. I’ve ready too many books about autism and there’s some scary statistics out there. It’s our personal choice, and, you know, if you’re really concerned about your kid get them vaccinated.”

Donald Trump — “I’m all for vaccinations, but I think that when you add all of these vaccinations together and then two months later the baby is so different … I’ve known cases,” he says. When co-host Gretch Carlson interrupts him to say that most physicians disagree with this position, he dismisses the idea: “Yeah, I know they do. … I couldn’t care less.”

Mayim Bialik — “We are a non-vaccinating family, but I make no claims about people’s individual decisions. We based ours on research and discussions with our pediatrician, and we’ve been happy with that decision, but obviously there’s a lot of controversy about it.”

Rob Schneider — “It’s illegal. You can’t make people do procedures that they don’t want. The parents have to be the ones who make the decisions for what’s best for our kids. It can’t be the government saying that. It’s against the Nuremberg [sic] Laws … The doctors are not gonna tell you both sides of the issue… they’re told by the pharmaceutical industry, which makes billions of dollars, that it’s completely safe. The efficacy of these shots have not been proven … And the toxicity of these things — we’re having more and more side effects. We’re having more and more autism.”

Bill Maher — “Why would you let them be the ones to stick a disease into your arm? I would never get a swine flu vaccine or any vaccine. I don’t trust the government, especially with my health.”

Robert Rodriguez — “Meeting Dr. Andy Wakefield changed our lives and… we are forever grateful. His wise and measured advice about vaccinations helped us dodge a bullet… Our fourth son [had] multiple allergies and repeated infections… We now fully realize [he] would have been a victim of immune overload had we followed the regular vaccine schedule… This book provides a terrifying insight into what has been happening behind the scenes as efforts redouble to silence Dr. Wakefield… It is a wake-up call to those who think [he] is anything other than a modern day hero fighting for all of our children.”

Jenny McCarthy — “Us moms aren’t treating autism, we are treating a vaccine injury. And when you treat the vaccine injury, the autism goes away, minimizes or disappears.”
