Rebound relationships are commonly defined as a new romantic relationship in the aftermath of a long-term romance ending. As Mike linked in PLove yesterday, it looks like Brian Austin Green is rebounding with Courtney Stodden, one-time child bride of ALLEGEDLY CREEPY Doug Hutchinson. Stodden and Hutchinson —and their 35 year age difference— married in 2011 when she was only 17. They split officially this year.

It’s no surprise to me that Green, who began dating estranged wife Megan Fox when she was 18 and he was 30, moved on to yet another young woman after the demise of his marriage. Green is 21 years older than Stodden and kids? I couldn’t tell you which way to bet on these two based on their histories. I just can’t.

What I can do is share with you some other celebrity rebound relationships you may have forgotten about, making you gasp or just screech “EW” in the middle of your living room.

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn
After Aniston’s split from husband Brad Pitt, she and Vaughn met on the set of 2006 flick The Break-Up. The pair ended up dating for around two years, which is probably longer than anyone dreamed they could last.

About Vaughn, Aniston told Vogue in 2008:

“He literally brought me back to life. My first gasp of air was a big laugh! It was great. I love him. He’s a bull in a china shop. He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that. And it sort of ran its course.”

Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz
Kidman and Tom Cruise split up in 2001 after 11 years and two children together. A year later, Kidman met and began dating Kravitz in 2002 and the pair split less around a year later.

Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn
I cannot imagine going from Ryan Reynolds to piece of sh*t Sean Penn, but that’s exactly what Johansson did after her divorce from the Deadpool star. The then 26-year-old Johansson and 50-year-old Penn only dated for five months, but I’m thinking that’s the best possible outcome if avoidance wasn’t in the cards.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal
Witherspoon split from husband Ryan Phillipe in November 2006 after seven years of marriage and two children together. By the end of the year, Witherspoon began dating Gyllenhaal after they met filming Rendition. Those two lasted until December 2009 and Witherspoon met her now-husband Jim Toth at a party the next year, marrying in 2011.

Tom Cruise and Penélope Cruz
After Cruise supposedly surprised Kidman by filing for divorce in 2001, he began dating Vanilla Sky co-star Cruz. The super odd and not at all set-up coupling lasted for three years before…

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
DOUBLE REBOUND! Cruise and Cruz broke up while Holmes and Chris Klein called off their engagement. Cruise and Holmes began dating in 2005 and lasted until she planned her escape with daughter Suri in 2012.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
Kardashian married Humphries in a much-discussed and properly ridiculed ceremony in 2011 only to split as she filed for divorce 72 days later. Former NBA player Humphries was actually a rebound after Kardashian’s relationship with Gabriel Aubry —Halle Berry’s ex and the father of her daughter. Kardashian’s rebound after Humphries?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
No one forgot about this, but the pair have four children and have been married for six years and together for eight years. The two began dating while awaiting the finalization of Kardashian’s marriage to Humphries, much like her relationship with singer Ray J while awaiting the end of her marriage to first husband Damon Thomas in 2003.
