Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein may have contracted COVID-19 in prison, again. Back in March reports surfaced that Weinstein was in isolation because of a coronavirus diagnosis. Now, TMZ reports the disgraced producer, who has more sexual misconduct allegations than he does hit movies, is in isolation once more, this time with a 101-degree temperature and a possible COVID diagnosis. The results of the test are still out.
An update from Weinstein’s reps did not address the COVID claims from TMZ. Instead, they pointed out there’s a lot of reasons the convicted rapist may be under the prison’s medical care.
“It should come as no surprise that Mr. Weinstein has numerous maladies and conditions including a heart condition, high blood pressure, and spinal stenosis. We are working with the NYSDOCCS and the excellent team at Wende CF to ensure Mr. Weinstein receives the proper medical attention he needs.”
Basically, COVID or not, Weinstein’s body is in bad shape. That means if he has COVID (maybe again), he’s at high risk for serious negative effects. Either way, Weinstein is suffering behind bars, where he is sentenced to do so for 23 years. Or perhaps more. After all, there’s still that LA case coming.
