Kanye West is an extremely divisive celebrity in general. He’s a narcissist, much of his work in the last few years has not had the universal appeal of his earlier music, and he’s married to one of the most hated reality stars on the planet. But, however you feel about Kanye West, he is known to occasionally be completely and indisputably right. Today is one of those times.
Fuck any game company that puts in-app purchases on kids games!!!

That makes no sense!!! We give the iPad to our child and every 5 minutes there's a new purchase!!!

If a game is made for a 2 year old, just allow them to have fun and give the parents a break for Christ sake.

While we could sit here all day and debate whether or not Kanye as a parent needs a “break” or whatever, he’s not wrong that apps designed for small children should not allow automatic in-app purchases without some kind of password or key code. I’d like to assure Kanye that you can turn off in-app purchases universally but it’s definitely less convenient than just not having them on apps designed for toddlers.
The BEAUTIFUL irony here is that Kanye’s wife faced controversy over similar in-app purchases on her game just last year, when scores of parents complained that they were receiving outrageous game-linked charges on their credit card statements.
Karma is a bitch, isn’t it?
