Every Little Thing He Does is Douchey: Shia LaBeouf Plagiarizes Dan Clowes and Yahoo Answers

Oh, LaBeowulf.

Beefsticks came under fire recently when it was discovered that his short film, borrowed heavily/was entirely ripped off from Justin M. Damiano, a comic by Dan Clowes. LaBeouf maintains that he was merely “inspired by” Clowes’ work, despite the fact that, according to Fantagraphics’ Eric Reynolds, via Wired, “he lifted the script, word for word.” He did so, obviously, without credit to the original artist, which is why it’s bad and wrong and not merely lazy.

PLOT TWIST! According to Buzzfeed, apparently even the tweeted apology was “inspired by” someone else, a Yahoo Answers answer, in fact. Which is why his next short film will tell the harrowing tale of how babby is formed.

Here’s the problem with these pretentious faux artist dicksacks. The “art” is hollow. The story is hollow. Even their apologies are hollow. There’s nothing genuine or real because the try of it all is just so desperate.

Luckily, Yahoo Answers has help for you if you’re wondering what happens when you “do plagiarism.” Hope this helps, Boofy!
