Awards shows are made for cleavage; that’s a known and irrefutable fact. How much to bare is up to an individual’s confidence, and rarely have we been other than impressed. Here are a few shots to remind you just how common a sight awards boobage is:
Heck, at 65, Helen Mirren’s glorious cleavage is still renowned as a place “much better than heaven…”
Yet somehow, when Susan Sarandon showed up at this weekend’s SAG awards, looking stunningly beautiful in a tux with her lacified cleavage on display,
(With her daughter, Eva Amurri)
(And son, Jack Robbins)
internetters across the webosphere lost their minds.
Good grief, people, it’s cleavage! I promise you won’t be harmed. Oh, and do please pardon all women because our boobs won’t always look exactly as they did at 20 years old. Luckily, there are those who still find them attractive, dare I say, even sexy. Kate Winslet couldn’t control herself; she had to cop a feel (poor Michael Shannon didn’t know what to do, so he just tried to contain his jealous grin).
Luckily, not all the world’s a prude and Sarandon also received plenty of supportive tweets.
Sarandon has always and will always be gorgeous and confident and sexy. Bowie knew…
and so do we.
p.s. Cue the Jaws theme, because she’s the great, white photobomber!
