Christopher Nolan Throws the Shadiest of Shade in Marvel's Direction

Christopher Nolan is a national treasure. Not only does he make (mostly, often, a lot of) incredible movies, but the man himself has always struck me as a tightly-wound ball of snark and snobbery. And now we can add to that: a whole lot of side-eye. Apparently, Warner Bros. desperately wanted to add a post-credits teaser scene to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. No one can fault them for this. Marvel does it, and Marvel movies are insanely popular. People love those scenes. Nolan offered up his opinion, though, with the bitchiest, cattiest, most amazing one liner ever uttered:

A real movie wouldn’t do that.
Oh SNAP. (Please forgive me for saying “oh, snap.” I tried it, it didn’t work.) That is one hell of a catty line. That’s something George Bernard Shaw might have said as a snotty 11 year old. That’s the kind of line that spurs a dance-off in a Step Up movie. Those words are impossible to utter without an eye roll and a glass of red wine in hand. And you just know he was wearing a fantastic scarf at the time. Step aside, David Bowie, we have our new Queen Bitch.
