The biggest drama out of last night’s Golden Globes was no drama at all. During a red carpet moment, you all believed that Chrissy Metz called Alison Brie a “bitch.” Of course, I didn’t believe this for a second. Nope. Check the liveblog. I absolutely did not spend 20 minutes during the middle of the ceremony trying to figure out the spark that triggered the non-existent feud. No, I didn’t briefly question my years-long fondness for Alison Brie. It never happened. It’s YOU people who believed it, because YOU people are bad people who want to believe the worst in people and you love trash and gossip and shame on you.

Anyway, here’s the clip:

Now, if someone told you that Chrissy Metz called Alison Brie a “bitch” in that clip, I might understand why you would think it, because you are deeply cynical people susceptible to believing the worst in others and you want to create drama with your MINDS. I’m so disappointed in all of you. She didn’t say “bitch,” she said “babe,” and if you listen closely, OF COURSE, that’s what she said. I don’t know why you didn’t hear that the first time. GOD.

Anyway, the drama surrounding that moment — especially when Metz was among those presenting an award for which Alison Brie was nominated — got so heated that Metz took to Twitter to dispel the myth that YOU PEOPLE CREATED WITH YOUR BAD THOUGHTS.

For shame. FOR SHAME.
