Most likely in an effort to build hype around the MTV Video Music Awards, which she will be hosting, Miley Cyrus is endeavoring to drum up a feud between her and her former friend Taylor Swift. As Cyrus has the occasional habit of doing, she actually makes a decent point. Here’s what she said to Marie Claire, referencing Swift’s “Bad Blood” video:
“I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”
She’s not wrong. Save for the isolated smothering incident or a motorboating gone wrong, boobs rarely directly result in a person’s death. Then again, I’m inclined to side with anything that Miley Cyrus says in this argument, if only because the “Bad Blood” video features the characters “Home Slice,” “Mother Chucker” and “Frostbyte,” as well as a blatant Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil rip off (nonetheless, it does gain some points for featuring Cindy Crawford as “Headmistress”).
On the other hand, Swift’s music is better, and this is the latest Miley promo for the VMA’s.
