Bethenny Frankel definitely wasn’t expecting Eboni K. Williams’s story to have as much of an impact as it did when it was included in last week’s Vanity Fair Housewives exposé. Williams spoke publicly for the first time about her allegations of racist behavior against Frankel’s former RHONY co-star Ramona Singer and elaborated on the similar experiences of Black Bravo staffers, resulting in Singer being pulled from BravoCon and fired from her real estate job.
One might think that Frankel would denounce Singer’s actions and stand behind Williams and the former Bravo staffers she represents since she’s supposedly on a mission to defend those exploited by the network. One would be wrong.
“I think Ramona’s been in and out of this whole machine and one day maybe she’ll be able to explain herself in a manner that maybe she will be educated, or be able to explain herself,” Frankel told Entertainment Tonight. “I can’t take just what happens on reality TV at face value but I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.”
She does know. Williams said “Fuck Bethenny Frankel” in the article when asked if she would join Frankel on her crusade, so now Williams is public enemy number one. The enemy of Frankel’s enemy is her friend.
The only work Frankel is actually doing to take down Bravo is inviting infamous Bravolebrities onto her podcast. Now that Singer has been officially stripped of her status, I’m sure Frankel’s people are hard at work comparing schedules. If I know Ramona, she’ll jump at the chance to speak and will say something stupid again in the process, thereby hastening her downfall.
