Wake up Hollywood! Your next action hero is waiting for the call and she’s so badass, she should just take over the Taken series for Liam Neeson. Hey, wait a minute…

Back to the franchise at hand. Speaking with Yahoo Movies about her upcoming film, Woman in Gold, it’s abundantly clear that Dame Helen Mirren truly is the whole package, and she’s not kidding — she really wants to be in the next Fast & Furious film (bonus: she loves Vin Diesel).

“My great ambition is to be in a Fast and Furious movie. I so want to be a mad driver in a Fast and Furious movie. My claim to fame is I always do my own driving — I was on Top Gear, and I did [my lap] in a very good time. I keep putting it out there, and they never ask me. I’ll be in Fast and Furious 8. I have to say Vin Diesel is brilliant. I love Vin Diesel. He’s a great guy, smart — I love him. It’s partly because of him I’d like to be in one, but also the driving. I’d also love to do another Red-type movie, because those are such fun to do.”

Mirren says she loves that with films like Divergent, we’re “finally getting great female teenaged heroines” and that she’ll happily “come along and play the baddie.” What she won’t do is take a role that “demeans women in a particularly unattractive and insulting sort of way…Push the world forward, not the world back.”

Amen.

I’m going to out myself right now — I’ve never seen a single film in the Furious series, but if Helen is in, so am I.

Cindy Davis’, (Twitter) great ambition is to be as cool as Helen Mirren.
