Following the divorce of John Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler in 2020, Mulaney incurred Internet backlash after a comedian thought to be a “wife guy” left his wife for Olivia Munn, with whom he now has a child.
Tendler quietly voiced her opinion largely through art she posted to Instagram. She is now set to release a memoir in August in which she’ll be more explicit about the “heartbreak and rage” that men have caused her over the years.
“I have been writing this book for two years,” Tendler announced in an Instagram post. “More accurately though I have been writing it for close to four decades. I have never been more proud of any work. It is a story about mental health; about being a woman; about family. And finally, about the endless source of my heartbreak and rage—men.”
Tendler joked in the post that she has not been only “taking photos of sunsets and seashores this whole time.” The book is available for pre-order now. I suspect that August will not be a slow news month for outlets like our own that report on celebrities.
