And Bill Cosby Just Dealt with a Heckler In the Word's Most Innappropriate Way

A PR professional may often tell a celebrity enduring a personal scandal that the best way to get through it is to lean into it. For instance, appearing in a Saturday Night Live sketch making fun of yourself. Or maybe doing a Funny or Die video parodying your mistakes.

But when the scandal is “allegedly” drugging and raping at least 30 women (at last count), maybe it’s not such a good idea to “lean into that,” as Bill Cosby appears to have done during a stand-up performance in Canada.

Apparently, during the show, Bill Cosby said to a woman in the crowd — who some are suggesting was a heckler — that “”You have to be careful about drinking around me.”

Many from the event are backing up the “joke”:

Nope, nope, nope. That’s not how you lean into it, sir. On the other hand, next time a bus is driving by, maybe lean in to that.
