OK, let’s back up here for just a moment, in case you missed the context: Allison Mack, who played Chloe Sullivan on Smallville, was also the right-hand man to Keith Raniere, the leader of a sex-cult pyramid scheme. It was a multi-level marketing outfit called NXIVM with an inner secret society called DOS, where Raniere and Allison Mack recruited sex slaves, who then recruited more sex slaves. These sex slaves were required to divulge personal information with which DOS could blackmail them if they ratted them out, and all the women were required to be branded.

All caught up? Cool.

I should note, too, that Rainere preferred “thin women” and kept them on low-calorie diets, which brings us to this series of tweets Allison Mack sent to Emma Watson a couple of years ago:

A “unique human development & women’s movement”? That sounds like a pitch that ends with, “You can earn up to $19 an hour by selling these steak knives to friends and family members” or, “Come join our sex cult with a gross old dude who brands us and keeps us on a low-calorie diet.”

Emma Watson never replied to the tweets.

Mack also reached out to Kelly Clarkson.

Raniere has been arrested and charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor conspiracy. Allison Mack has also been arrested for her role in recruiting sex slaves. She has pleaded not guilty.

Fellow Smallville star Kristin Kreuk also admits being a part of NXIVM for several years, but denies being involved with the secret sex cult.
