All the Times Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone Have Given Us Hope for Their Love This Awards Season
Last month, I discussed three items of NATIONAL IMPORTANCE: the time Emma Stone referred to Andrew Garfield as “someone I still love very much”; the time Andrew Garfield said “there’s nothing but love between me and Emma”; and finally, when he selected her as someone he’d choose to be alone with on a desert island. This constant pulling of my own personal heartstrings has not let up. Here are more moments of utter GUH-dom this awards season:
There was that time he came over and sat with her at the AFI Awards on Jan. 6:
Garfield, 33, walked over to Stone’s table and sat in an empty seat next to her. The two chatted and the 28-year-old actress was heard telling him, “I feel so much better.”
He then stood up and continued talking to her and La La Land director Damien Chazelle, while keeping his hand on the actress’ shoulder. Garfield then made his way to the Silence table, where he was greeted with applause by Scorsese.
(The “I feel so much better” is because Stone recently had to sit out another awards show due to strep throat. She would have been seated at the same table as Garfield but my dreams were crushed.)
There was that time he discussed the best day of his life:
There was this standing ovation of a lovegush:

There was this on the Globes red carpet:
And there was this moment *after* the show. Note how she’s not paying attention and then hears “Andrew Garfield” and she’s like “what?”:
That time he was asked about gifts he’s made for people…and she was asked about the best gift she’s ever received:
And in case anyone has concerns he’s talking about all these feelings and she’s not reciprocating out of discomfort or pain, even when the two were dating, she’s always had a touch of the Patrick-Swayze-in-Ghosts.
GET BACK TOGETHER. Like, if that’s what you want, or whatever, it’s totally up to you, your call, but just, like, PLEASE.
