Remember way back in 2015 when a family from Arkansas with 20 kids could still maintain the public’s fascination? 117 Kids and Counting ran for ten seasons — and was the highest rated show on TLC — before it all collapsed under the weight of revelations that one of the Duggar children, Josh, molested five girls, including his own sisters. And that the nice Christian boy watched a lot of Internet porn and had paid for two Ashley Madison subscriptions so that he could sleep with other women behind his wife’s back.
After the revelations came out into the open, The Duggar empire collapsed and Josh Duggar went to a “rehab,” and his wife was reminded by friends and family that cheating starts at home — if Anna Duggar hadn’t been too busy having Josh’s babies to bang him on the regular, he never would’ve sought the company of other women.
Anyway, after all that, surely Anna divorced Josh and he slunk away to live the rest of his life in the shadows, right? RIGHT?
From a statement released on the Duggar Family webiste (via Page 6):
“We are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy later this year. Beauty comes from ashes and we cannot wait to see and kiss the face of this sweet new boy!”
“For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family. Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time.”
The child will be their second since Josh admitted to the affairs, and since revelations about molesting young girls were made known.
Josh Duggar is doing just fine.
