Aaron Paul has said on a number of occasions that he fully expects to never have a job as great as Breaking Bad again. And, if we’re all being honest, he’s probably right. Now, I love me some Aaron Paul, and Pinkman is one of my favorite TV characters of all time. He nailed that role, in both the humor and the heart of it. But it has yet to be seen (through whiskey ads and video game movies) if he’ll be able to break out of the mold he’s created for himself. And, really, a show like Breaking Bad is usually a once-in-a-career kind of gig. He just happened to get it right at the start of that career.
The greatest thing about Aaron Paul (or at least Public Celebrity Aaron Paul— I can’t speak to Actual Person Aaron Paul; he’s probably got loads of great qualities) is his appreciation for what’s been given to him. Remember last year when he held a scavenger hunt for tickets to the Breaking Bad finale screening, simply because he enjoys making fans of the show happy? Well, he’s doing it again.
Someone get Aaron Paul and Chris Pratt a reality show in which they just go around making people happy. Or at least a buddy cop movie. Anyway, if you need me Monday, you’ll know where to find me.* Because if there are two things I love in this world, they’re Breaking Bad and riddles.
