I am not particularly well versed in Project Runway. I do not watch the series, although my wife did for several seasons when it was on Bravo, before it moved to Lifetime before it moved back to Bravo. I also understand that Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are no longer hosting the show and that they are or will be hosting a different show on Amazon. In the meantime, Karlie Kloss has replaced Heidi Klum, and a former Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano, has replaced Tim Gunn.

You don’t need to know any of that to understand this clip.

It is good to know here, however, that the blonde woman who has the shocked reaction in that clip is Karlie Kloss, and that Karlie Kloss is a liberal person, but Karlie Kloss is married to Joshua Kushner — also a liberal person — who also happens to be the brother of Jared Kushner, who used to be a liberal person.

Caveat: Joshua, Jared, Ivanka, and Karlie are all obscenely wealthy, so “liberal” and “conservative” have very different meanings to them because the policies of both political parties currently benefit the status quo, and the status quo is good for Kushners and Klosses and Kardashians and Trumps and — God help me because Petr has infected my brain — but I’m kind of done with it all. #EatTheRich

So, did Karlie Kloss deserve to be called out by a contestant on Project Runway who was later eliminated? Well, let’s just say that the harshest critique of her brother-and-sister-in-law Kloss has ever made publicly is that she “chooses to focus on the values that I share with my husband, and those are the same liberal values that I was raised with and that have guided me throughout my life.” In other words, she doesn’t want to rock the boat, because rocking the boat might endanger the status quo, and the status quo has been very good to her and her husband. So while the rest of us are canceling holiday plans with our families over politics, the Kushners make it work because money > politics.
