I don’t know how many of you knew this, but last year, Tina Turner — once considered the Queen of Rock, and who once whipped the hell out of her abusive husband Ike Turner (at least according to the movie) — relinquished her American citizenship to become a citizen of Switzerland, where she has been living since 1994? Why? I don’t know. Becuase she’s been there for two decades? Because her husband — German music producer Erwin Bach — lives there? Or because she’s f**ing Tina Turner, and she can do whatever the hell she wants to do.

At any rate, Turner — who is fluent in German — kind of explains why she became a citizen in this ad for a communication app, which also includes a scene in which she, uh, yodels “Simply the Best.”
