Let's Talk 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3' Episode 3
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars parodied The Bachelor last night with an outrageous comedy challenge called “The Bitchelor.” The competing queens each had to portray a reality TV cliche (the needy girl, the virgin, the party girl) while going on a group date with UnReal’s Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. Some queens were a scream, while one just screamed a lot.
No surprise that BenDeLaCreme and Trixie Mattel slayed, playing a dirty-talking cougar and a cell phone-toting “fake bitch” respectively. Both seemed favorites for the win, then Kennedy Davenport rolled up with her giant T&A, bad teeth, and unhinged party girl shtick, and had us rolling. BenDeLa and Kennedy were picked as the top two to face off in Lip Sync for Your Legacy. And Trixie was rightly annoyed that she got—I can’t even say upstaged—shouted over by her spoiled scene partner, Milk.
In their 2-on-1 date with Bowyer-Chapman, Milk’s take on a stalker basically meant looking like a pantomime of madness, mistaking screaming for creating a character, and stepping all over Trixie’s punchlines. Do we think it was a strategy to try to outshine the celebrated comedy queen? Is Milk just so oblivious she didn’t see how she was dooming her own scene with the same tired bit over and over? HOW DID SHE THINK THAT WENT WELL!?
Milk was shocked and appalled to discover she was in the bottom along with Chi Chi DeVayne and Aja. And she was even more shocked when Kennedy sent her packing. But how? Sure, it was Chi Chi’s third time in the bottom in as many episodes, so maybe Milk thought she was the obvious choice. But it’s beyond oblivious for Milk not to realize how she’s been irritating and alienating the other queens with her fishier-than-thou attitude. And more than the straight-up seasons, All Stars is in part about getting other queens to like you, so they don’t boot you out!
So, bitter Milk was sent home. But before she left, she got a little more screentime in World of Wonder’s behind-the-scenes webseries. Spoilers: it contains more shouting and shade.
