First Look At Brie Larson As Captain Marvel

Kristy Puchko | Film | January 26, 2018

In 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally bring its fans a female-fronted superhero movie with Captain Marvel. And now we’re getting a peek at what that’ll look like, thanks to these shots of Brie Larson in costume as Carol Danvers.

Some fans were confused by the color scheme. As Captain Marvel’s colors are typically red, blue and gold, they were expecting something more like we saw in this concept art.

But others were quick to explain that her ’90s-set origin movie might be showing an evolution to Captain Marvel’s signature look.

In the meantime, others are stoked that the MCU didn’t feel the need to make Danvers’s costume some ludicrous objectification-fest with tit windows. And video game developer/aspiring conrgresswoman Brianna Wu broke down the logistics for this motorcycle gear look.

Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 8th, 2019.
