We've Got An Exclusive Clip About 'Professor Marston and The Wonder Women's Feminist Love Story

One of the woefully undersung movies of 2017 was Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, a biopic about the three-way romance that birthed one of the greatest superheroes of all time. It was one of my favorite films of the year. And now you can catch up on this sexy an and surprising movie, as it’s available for home viewing today!

To celebrate, we here at Pajiba are sharing an exclusive clip from the DVD’s special featurette, “Dynamic Trio: Birth of a Feminist Icon.” In it, writer/director Angela Robinson explains how the relationship that married professors William and Elizabeth Marston (Luke Evans and Rebecca Hall) formed with the enchanting and challenging Olive Byrne (Bella Heathcote) has long been misrepresented as something shameful. She shares what clues led her to a deeper understanding of the bonds between Elizabeth and Olive, that defied the sordid wife/mistress narrative.

This clip concludes with Hall discussing her understanding of Elizabeth, and her blossoming queer identity within the film. And let me tell you right now: Hall gave one of the best performances of the year hands down. That she didn’t get a For Your Consideration campaign for Professor Marston and the Wonder Women is downright shameful, because she built a character who was complicated, charismatic, and absolutely captivating.

If you love Wonder Woman and want to understand the unlikely story of her origin, or if you crave a story that’s super sexy and heart-warming, or if you understand the excellence of Rebecca Hall, or if you want to catch the outstanding film that too much of the world missed out on, seek out Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.

Professor Marston and the Wonder Women is now out on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital.
